The best places to get video game music

I love video game music, the majority of what is on my IPOD is video game music.

The two best places, besides torrenting for an album is:
OCRemix- taking the classics and doing them in techno, metal, jazz, acid jazz,pop..you name it and it's there. Coming out with albums all the time each dedicated to a game or an Idea. The most recent is
Mega Man: The Robot Museum, which takes one robot master from Mega Man 1-8 and Mega Man and bass, and remixs the music.  Seriously you need to check these guys out, oh random fact the most remixed game on there is Chrono trigger. Which makes me smile.

Galbadia Hotel- Also known as the Final Fantasy Shrine. This site has pretty much every gaming and anime album that has ever been made. If it's not here, it pretty much doesn't exist anywhere. So if your just looking for a video game album, or a single track. And you don't feelt like torrenting it, or can't find it torrented, look there.

Any other good places to get gaming music..?

Dragon Age: Choices

SO when I beat Dragon Age 2 the first time, I was a Rogue and I sided with the Mages,(tiny spoiler)..so next time I am going to side with the Templars so I can get the Trophy and just see the other of the story.

So I am going to be a Mage and side with a Templar's, and if your a fan of the Dragon Age universe, you can see why that is funny,

But I am stuck stillf if I want to play 2 right away again for finish the main story of Orgins..I am leaning towards finishing Origins, so I can import a full save file..but just do the main story..Not Awakening or the 8 other fucking massive side quests, or at least the one's I still haven't done.

Any suggestions out there..?

Navi's Song live action

So  I was on Facebook and  Geeks Are Sexy posted this link about live action Zelda music which took me here Navi's Song (Hey, Listen!) - Music Video by Meekakitty. Seriously click the link and watch the video.

She is cute..with a great voice, and the video is just awesome. Plus the lyrics just work..seriously go watch it now.

3DS shipping

So my 3DS shipped a day early..totally bad ass!!!!

Your the Champion of Kirkwall, what will you do next??

So last night at like 2am I beat Dragon Age 2, 30hrs for such a awesome game, with alot of replay value.  The only this that has me pissed off is that like a week ago it went on sale like everywhere..anyway..

Stats:
Class: Rogue
Weapon: Dual Blade
Specializations: Assassin and Duelist
Complete time: About 30hrs

So the ending set it up perfectly for a Dragon Age 3, which I hope happens, there is so much they can do with the Universe they created, so I am excited to see what they do now.

Now it falls under what to do. do I go back and at least finish the main plot of Dragon Age Origins, or re-start Dragon Age 2 again. If I choose to restart 2 again, what class will I be..? I'm leaning towards a mage. because I just don't like the Warrior skills, and I perfer a little challenge in my game, warrior are easy, just smash everything.

Decisions..Decisions..also coming next week is my Dragon Age Origins vs Dragon Age 2..the life of a rogue, where I compare what being a Gray Warden Rogue and a Rogue Champion are like.

3 degrees of gaming

So i am playing Dragon Age 2, and there is a quest called, "no rest for the wicked", which reminds me of the song," ain't no rest for the wicked" by cage the elephant, which is on the intro to Borderlands.

It's amazing the connections that are totally unrelated that the mind makes.

Dragon Age 2..18+ hours in, a random partical review

So I just started "Act 3" in Dragon Age 2, I will try not to spoil it for anyone.

So I am loving this game way more the the first one, most so with the story. But everything is better in this one as compare to the first game. Expect I liked the skill build for the warrior class in the first one over the second one. There were more passive skills and less active ones..A warrior doesn't need like 8 skills, warrior just need to "Smash one person", "Smash group", that's it...Gamer makers need to stop trying to make warrior complicated, if you want a complicated class try a rogue..or a mge...

My biggest problem with the first one is that they tried to do to much..I mean a 30$ DLC..really..? Couldn't of you just incorporated it into the game, or just done less DLC over all.  I just think they were trying to add so much and do so much it bogged the game down.  Mostly you got all the DLC dungeons at the beginning, so you go of to explore those, then either you forget where to go next or you are so over powered nothing is a challenge...Now the DLC I did play was, "Darkspawn Chronicles", "Leliana's Song", "Return to Ostagar", then I went back to the main story, and was so over powered in Redcliff..after Red Cliff I went back to the Mages circle for a quest, then I remembered how much I hated the Fade the first time I went around, so that combined with my over powered caused me to put it down.

Final Fantasy 12 suffered from this as well, so many side quests you lost track of the main story, you do hunting or whatever kind of side quests, and 10hrs later your like.."wait what the hell was going on.?" Then you get pissed or have to go read a spioler faqs to remind your self where you are.

Now 2 in my opinion avoided this issue by having lots of small rapid side quests, so you could do like 4 and still remember what was going on, plus some side quests interacted with the mains story later. Also all the extra starting equipment, only made you over powered in the First Act by then the awesome gear wasn't so awesome, expect like a belt or something, so it helped with not being over powered.

I am aslo happy at Bioware for making 2 it's own game, but if you beat Origins you had a deeper idea of what was going on, they even made a gold trophy if you beat 2 twice or beat Origins and 2, which made me chuckle.

Anyway I am excited to see how this game ends, and I will probably play through it again, because it seems long but not to damn long..unless there is an act 4..>.>

I hope Dragon Age 2 does great and the make a 3..there is so much they could do with the universe they made

Also I have been listen to a Metal Version of The Song of Storms from Ocarina of time while writing this, check it out here: Song of Storms; Metal Cover

No more Empire in the Astro

So last night I went to take over someone else Astro Empire account, and the account was just a mess, so I was re-tooling it all, and I went to do everything needed so I could take over the account on a system side.

So I go to log into it this morning but it won't let me..but it doesn't bug me..I was never hard core into the game unlike some other people. So no skin off my back about it all..the only down side is it did help me kill time while on the bus going to and from work.

Dragon Age 2

So I splurged and bought Dragon Age 2, because I loved the demo. Now I am not saying Orgins is a bad game because it's not..but 2 is just better in alot of ways.

They took out the race issue.
Gave the main character a voice
Skills/Talents more revelant to the character
Less micro managing of your allies equipment.

Plus the graphics are just better. I'll probably go back to Origins after i beat 2.  I do like how you can important save data from Origins and it effect the story of 2 to some degree.

It also gave a code for free DLC, which would of been 9.99$ by it's self..total score!! SO you can get alot of extra equipment buy doing stuff for the game like:
Registration of the game at BioWares social site
Signing up for a news letter
Playing their Dragon Age facebook game

Looking at the Dragon age 2 Wiki..the stuff is pretty good. So it is worth the time you invest to get the stuff.

So I am a playing as a Female Rogue, I like rogue skills and just their style and all. I pick a girl mostly cause, fuck I don't know..but she has the most stunning blue eyes...LOL

Mass Effect Code

So when I got my copy of Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition, it gave me a code for some Armor in mass effect 2. But I don't own Mass Effect 2.

So the first person to comment on this I will give you the Code for Blood Dragon Armor in Mass Effect 2.

The sheet the code is on says you need to redeem it on Bioware site..it says nothing about a specific system...but I got it when I bought the PS3 version..

EDIT: the code is gone now..=)

Team Four Star Plays

Team Four Star are the crazy awesome guys behind Dragon Ball Z abridged, but I am here to talk about their gaming videos.

They have videos up where they play Left 4 Dead 2. They currently have 31 episodes up right now, they have done "Main Quests" and "Customs maps". They are very hilarious and they make me laugh as they run around trying to kill zombies.

If you like Zombies..and listens to friends be assholes to each other, then I recommend checking them out.

Hyper Dimension Neptunia

Hyper Dimension Neptunia, it a game by NIS/Gust/Idea Factory/Complie Heart for the Playstation 3.

It is in the same style of game as Cross Edge and Trinity Universe. A visual novel kind, 2 characters on the screen mouths moving, limited cut scenes, that kind of style.

Neptunia is full of random fan service, since when they are talking they are "breathing", chests moving up and down, it is fan service since most of the cast has big breasts, so you get to see huge breasts heaving. Plus some of the scene images have a yrui/fan service feel to them.

The game is also full of old school game references, "Like Zack Unflair working on GG7", or guys stacking blocks on a truck tetris style.

The battle systems is fairly simple, the 4 buttons have different attacks that you can use to make combos, chain combos together, switch out with other party members to keep the combo going.  There are also 4 characters who can Transform, and some combos can start that.

The game has gotten poor reviews by the "reviews guys", but the game has hardcore fan base. My only complaints are the lack of an interesting sound track, and the game has a lot of missions, and the stages are like the same 4 stages so that is annoying.

So if you want a funny rpg, with plenty of comedy and fan service. And you want your Old School strings tugged at, pick this one up.

Cheating the system

SO when the 3DS was announced at Amazon, you could trade in a DS lite for 50$ which I did. Now when I sent it in the giftcard for the 3DS wasn't applied to my gift card balance, so I emailed them and told them to fix that, which they did,

It hit me a few minuites ago that the promotional credit I randomly got was the DS trade in getting applied, so I got the credit applied twice.

Now this is just a guess, I am not sure, but still cheating the system is an awesome feeling.

Unknown Deal

SO the last of my Amazon giftcards was applied today for the trade in's I sent.  So I went to pre-order my Blue 3DS, and at check out I noticed there was a random 50$ promotion applied!!!!  So i rushed back to the 3DS page and saw nothing on it. So i was like O____o. I hit placed order, so I got my 3DS for 200$, plus $10 to one day ship the thing. So with all my giftcards, i got my 3DS for free!!!!

If you haven't pre-ordered it go to Amazon and do it now!!!!

Today is a good day.

Bidding for help

http://pc.gamezone.com/editorials/item/gamezones_mega_red_cross_fundraiser/

Square Enix, THQ, and Capcom are teaming up to raise money for Tsunami aid.  Winner gets games and a mystery box full of random gamer swag!!

Read the article and bid on ebay today!

3D in the palm of your hands

So the 3DS is coming out at the end of the month, and I am going to pre-order it, it is a gift to my self for my birthday.

I am not usually one to get brand new Game Devices when the first come out, but Nintendo is usually good with not having issues on their systems, it's just their launch titles that usually suck hard. As in term with the 3DS, none of the titles interest me, but titles coming down the pipe line excite me.

Most note worth is Kingdom hearts 3D, and Harvest Moon 3D. Yes I am a huge Harvest moon fan, but thats for a different post.

So I traded in some games and my old DS to Amazon to put towards the cost of my new system.  I am also excited that I will be able to play Pokemon White finally..luckly in time to still get Vinici or however it's spelled.

I am just impatient, and I want it now. LOL

Kingdom Hearts Chain of memories

So my friend was asking me my opinion if she should buy Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories which she saw for 6$ at a Gamestop.  I played and beat both sides on it, the only reason I played it is because you got to play as Riku, if it wasn't for that I would of waited and watched the video online.

Pros:
Bridges the Story between KH 1 and KH 2
Ties into 358/2 days
Get to play as Riku
GBA so you can take it with you, or download it on your Droid Phone
Got re-made as a PS2 game titled RE: Chain of Memories

Cons:
Only new story happened between floors or when you played as riku
You can watch the scenes online and save you the trouble
Stupid card based battle system, and not even the fun card game kind either

So if you are hardcore I would find it and buy it in some version, or download it in rom form and rock it out.  If you don't care, just google search it and you can find the videos and see all the important parts.

Console vs PC gaming

I am a console gamer hooked up to the tv or a portable. I own every system expect an XBOX since I don't like the games on there.

I like that I don't have to pay for a monthly fee, the graphic are much better, and you don't need some 1500$ system to make them work. Also all the games I play doesn't require any sort of team building, I really don't get along with others even more so when I am gaming.

I dislike PC games because they mostly require you to play well with others. Plus I use a laptop so a lot of the quick hit keys are all in hard to hit places. Plus seriously my PC games have shit for graphics...

Which do you prefer..? Hit up the comments and shout out!!

Droid is better than apple

I have an EVO 4G and now your asking, Zero.that has nothing to do with gaming?.  But I disagree with you, just go into the droid market and search for:
PSX4DROID
GENSOID
GAMEBOID

Along with most every stems from the playstation going older. And you to can play video games on your phone, I mostly use it to play genesis and gameboy games. Game systems without a 2nd set of trigger buttons, to many button covering up the screen sucks.

So dump your apple and get a droid today.

Re:rolling

SO I got into Dragon Age Origins, and I realized I had been screwing my charters build up and hampering my self.  So I re-rolled my life on there and found a cool Dual Blade guide.

Now I am a Noble Dwarf..they get better bonuses toward being a rogue, made my self a female this time on there so I can get the rest of the "sleep with your party: trophies. Oddly enough there is a Bi-sexual honey in your group..yum yum,,,excited for some girl on girl action.

Helping catch them all

So my friend Pixie was playing one of the new Pokemon's I forget which color. Anyway she was having issues catching the exclusive limited time run of Victini.

So I remembered what I always did when I played Pokemon Blue , and that was hold Up + A when you throw the ball and some how that always made the rate of catching Higher. If nothing else it was good juju and it helped some how.

So I told Pixie this. When she tried it she caught it easily.

Got to remember it for my self when i try it.

Astro Empires

Astro Empires is a game I used to play then stopped then re-starting playing.

It is a free web based browser MMO. Were you start on a planet, you research tech, build ships, colonize on other planets, wage huge battles, join a guild and make some friends.

When your first starting out since you really can't do anything, it is the perfect game to "set and come back", while all the building and research clocks tick. But once you get going you find your self more addicted.

Now some people, as with all games take it way to seriously. Like missing sleep to set timers or make sure they attack someone as soon as they land. Me I am not that bad.

I play because I like that I don't have to keep a hawk like glare on it. And the people are really cool, if you find the right kind. Oh yah and it's free.

Check it out at www.astroempires.com.  Right now I am playing on "Juno" Server under the handle ZeroTime, if you want to see me there. And I will help you out getting started.

Playing as the bad guy

"Good may always win but evil has more fun along the way"-Moltar when he Hosted Toonami

I love games or DLC in this case where you can play as the bad guys and defeat the heroes. Just something fun about that. I have no idea,

So right now I am playing: Dragon Age Orgins: The Dark Spawn Chronicles..

I love being the bad guy

Currently Playing

Right Now I am playing Dragon Age Orgins Ultimate Edition, it game with all the DLC installed.

I am a Elf Rogue dual blader. I am inside the fade dream world right now. But Took a break from the Main Story to play the DLC: Leliana's Song. So I could get the Free Armor, and so I didn't throw my controller at the TV because I kept dieing. Stupid mage mobs...

Anyway I started playing it after playing the demo for Dragon Age 2. So I got spolied by the skill system which I like more in DA 2. But DA: O is good as well.

I have no Idea how far I am into the main story but I am enjoying it so far. Great story, wonderful audio. Detailed so much you feel like you are there. I enjoy the open wide selection of customization of race..class..skills.

My few complaints are:
I hate games that let me customize my characters face, because I just suck at doing that.
How you can be totally out mobbed..you first 10.
Running away doesn't make enemies stop chasing you, like after 4 rooms..o.O

So far I am liking it..I'll talk more about it after I beat i more..

The start.

So I figured my first post would be about my favorite game ever, which is Chrono Trigger.

I remember getting this game when I was like 12, and loving it right away.

I bit on chrono trigger for those of you how have never seen or played it. You are a Swordman named Crono..and through an event you are thrown 400 years in the past to save a girl named Marle. Then you go into the future and see it is destoryed. Then you resolve to save the world.  This game was created by Squares "Dream Team", all the tops of their area of gaming getting together.

Anyway back to why I love this game. The characters well beautifully drawn with highly detailed backgrounds given it was just on the SNES.  The story spanned millions of years events in the past changing the future. I am a huge time travel freak.

You get 6 characters with an optional 7th, the 7th being your standard bad guy turning good guy..enemy of my enemy style. The battle system was easy to master but complex enough the battles were intresting.

The two coolest features in the game are: New Game Plus and The 13 or 14 different endings.  In new game plus it is simple, start off with your stats and weapons at the beginning of the game. Get your vegence on the starter enemies. The ends are all done in new game plus expect 3. You go beat the final boss at different points in the game and you change the ending, due to your not finishing things.

I could go on and on about this game. If you haven't played it..go play it on either the SNES, the DS, or on the PS1 (as part of Final Fantasy Chronicles)

Stay tuned for more..same bat time same bat channel.
